A new life to this condo unit.

In need of some TLC.

1980th condo Remodel, Broad Ripple indianapolis, IN

After the dust settled from our first big remodel (http://brusfo.blogspot.com/2015/01/one-happy-remodel.html) in Broad Ripple… We got itchy for another project and we looked at a few possible contenders, but as always: Location is the biggest factor for us in creating a "life style living experience" through our remodels. Walkability, community, close reach to the active outdoors (MONON) & quick downtown access are a must on our list.  We found the perfect contender at "The Fountains" in Broad Ripple. I always loved driving by there... Something about the red brick and their classic timeless appeal. The inside of the unit sure hadn't been touched since the 80th and was begging for some Tender Loving Care. We felt up to the task!

… Lots of sweat, elbow grease and three months later and I'm ready to show you what we've made of the place! We are pretty pleased with how it turned out (except for a few mishaps like having the wrong carpet delivered and installed in the bedrooms for instance!;) and hope you will enjoy it too.

The enclosed Courtyard behind the unit, outside the kitchen will remains wild and natural to host all of natures little friends (Many birds, squirrels and chipmunks come to visit, animate and entertain;)

My super hero loves!
We couldn't have done it without our dream team "Cantrell" of trim carpenters, plumber and electricians! I learn so much during each one of these projects and can appreciate the value of passionate workers that care about getting things done within the budget and timing at hand as much as possible.

I surely couldn't have done it without the support and after hours labor of my hubby and 5 year old daughter who helped anytime they could, coped with my crazy schedule and brought me food when working overtime ;)

Most of all, this project wouldn't be without the other members of Three Little Pigs, LLC (my dad and brother, key investors and believers.)

A true labor of love!

There you have it. If you have family, colleagues or friends coming to visit in town - and are looking for a place to stay!? Give us a shout! I will be running the rental through airbnb: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/7706104

Note: Radon levels are a spread out issue here in Indiana, Indianapolis and Broad Ripple area… We made sure to address our radon levels for the health and safety of our renters! So many people rent without knowing if their place is affected by high radon levels, a natural gas known to cause long cancer.

Radon pump. For the safety of our renters.

Ow, and we love our planet and try and limit waist as much as we can… We were very diligent at recycling and repurposing every single item that we could salvage out of the place when taken out!

Repurposing through Restore: Habitat for Humanity. Limiting waist as much as possible.
